Senior Placement Services

Joy Lovinger is new to the community. Originally from New York, Joy went to college in Hartford, CT and graduated with a BA in English from the University of Hartford. She, her husband Brian and their 4 dogs moved to Prescott Valley from Northern California in August of 2021.

Joy's mother, pictured above, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2001 and Joy relocated her mother from Florida to live with her and became involved in the senior community. Since 2001, she went through the Senior Peer Counseling program, worked as Marketing Director for a large Assisted Living/Memory Care community, got her RCFE Administrator certification, was an appointed member of the Sonoma County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council for 6 years, was a Board Member of Friendship Circle for almost 10 years, was the President of the (very small) Homeowners Association for 7 years where she lived, is a Board Member of SHARE Sonoma County and is the chair of the Petaluma Senior Care Connection networking group in California.

In her spare time, she reads, exercises, volunteers and is an avid Yankee fan. She owns Senior Placement Services, a free service that finds assisted living for seniors, currently serving Yavapai County.
