About Optum | Tucson

“Optum’s mission is to help people live healthier lives, and in line with that mission, it operates six Optum Community Centers throughout the state, from the greater Phoenix area to Tucson.

The centers are designed to serve as neighborhood hubs where anyone 55 and older can gather in a social, supportive setting, to take an active role in improving their own health, and to expand their social network at the same time – all with no costs, memberships, or sign-ups required.

Along with classes and activities designed to help people learn new skills and encourage social connection, a centerpiece of Optum Community Center programming is encouraging physical activity. Sessions like chair yoga, Zumba, Pilates, and others are all led by experts in their respective fields, and are designed to meet participants where they are in the physical fitness journey – regardless of ability. Each center also offers an exercise studio, where attendees can work on cardiovascular and strength training with the support of Optum-certified trainers.”
