Northern Arizona Council of Governments, NACOG Aging, is a nonprofit corporation representing local governments to provide a wide variety of services within Apache, Coconino, Navajo and Yavapai Counties.

Common Issues. Uncommon Solutions. Solving common problems. Transcending geographical boundaries. Improving local communities. These are just a few of the tasks of the Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG Aging), a group of local governments representing Apache, Coconino, Navajo and Yavapai Counties. NACOG Aging staff works with local governments to address similar issues faced by the communities within the region.

NACOG Aging’s Human & Community Services Division is committed to the development of human and community services in areas ranging from supporting equal opportunities for persons with disabilities and delivering services to older individuals, to combating the conditions of poverty. This division also provides funds for a variety of community development projects.

NACOG Aging’s Economic and Workforce Development Division helps build economic success through workforce development partnerships. Comprehensive economic development planning for workforce, business services and tourism development is a major focus, as well as public works and infrastructure development for sustainable economic growth.

NACOG Aging’s Planning Division recognizes that studying area population and demographics is critical to planning a viable transportation system. NACOG provides these services to local governments, along with estimates and projections for population growth. The division also participates in regional transit planning activities, and coordinates with the Arizona Department of Transportation and local governments for transportation related funding. Additionally, the agency develops, adopts and maintains an area-wide water quality management plan.
