ICS Single Mom Scholars Program Now Enrolling Through May 12, 2026
Tucson, AZ — The ICS Single Mom Scholars (SMS) program is now accepting applications from low-income single mothers seeking to pursue a college education, with the final application deadline set for May 12, 2026.
The SMS program is designed to empower single mothers to achieve long-term success through higher education. Participants receive a comprehensive network of support, including financial assistance, practical services, coaching, professional development, and access to a strong peer community.
By addressing the unique challenges faced by single mothers, the program helps scholars stay on track academically while balancing the demands of parenting, work, and school. This approach not only supports individual success but also strengthens families and contributes to a more resilient local community and economy.
“Through this program, single mothers receive the support they need not only to graduate, but to transform their lives and create lasting opportunities for their children. To date, the program has supported more than 100 graduates,” said Tom McKinney, ICS CEO.
Graduates have gone on to complete their degrees, enter the workforce, and create meaningful change in their families’ lives.
Alumni are available for media interviews and can share firsthand stories of the program’s impact on their lives and educational journeys.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to apply before the May 12 deadline.
