The Arizona senior industry has lost a great advocate. Elizabeth (Lisa) Irish, of Family Home Care passed away November 24, 2025. She was passionate about protecting seniors from abuse and exploitation during her over 25 years in the senior industry. In the early 2000’s, Elizabeth joined the Maricopa Elder Abuse Prevention Alliance (MEAPA) at the Area Agency on Aging and served on their various sub-committees. Since non-medical home care was unregulated, she saw the need to safeguard Arizona seniors and originated the idea of a nonprofit association. Due to her efforts, the Arizona In Home Care Association, (AZNHA) was established in 2007.
